Citytrip Lisbon, Portugal

Again we make a city trip to the capital of Portugal, Lisbon. This is our third visit to this wonderful city. We leave Amsterdam this morning at 06:55 and fligh to Portugal, for a four day Citytrip to Lisbon. At the airport we take the metro to the city centre. Our stop is the metro station of Arroios, and the hotel where we made reservations, is only a five minute walk from here.








Day 1
Wednesday, October 21th


We arrive early in the morning, a party of three this time, our son is coming along with us. Having collected our luggage, we sit down at one of the airport restaurants......

 

Day 2
Thursday, October 22th


Today we are off to Cascaise, the former jet-set location. We take the metro to Cais do Sodré railway station where we board the train. The ride will take about thirty minutes, with a view across.....

 

Day 3
Friday, October 23th


Today we make an early start because we are taking the train inland to the mountainous region of Sintra. We take the metro to Rossio station were we board the train to Sintra. It proves to be....

 

Day 4
Saturday, October 24th


The Alfama district is the oldest district of Lisbon, spreading on the slope between the São Jorge Castle and the Tejo River. Its name comes originaly from the Arab word Al-Hamma....

 

Day 5
Sunday, October 25th


The Lisbon Oceanarium′s temporary exhibition, "Forests Underwater by Takashi Amano" features tropical forests inside a magnificent aquarium. Takashi Amano, the most famous "aquascaper" in the world....
