Summer holiday 2006
Le Cap D´Agde − France
Day 7
Wednesday, 26th July

As boring as it may sound, we got up late today and enjoyed a modest breakfast with roles, French bread and croissants. The temperature is already peaking as we set out for a relaxing walk through the Marina area. In the shortest period of time my t-shirt is soaked again due to perspiration. Today it is a Wednesday and there is a local market going on.

Obviously I have to stock up on olives again. A whole kilo, all for myself, I can hardly wait to get back to the apartment. Sun, olives, red wine and a piece of French bread, that’s life for you! We also buy a couple of small fresh melons, for desert.

Having stocked up we continue our morning walk under a bright sun towards the Plage du Mole. We pass the little shop where on Monday we bought the fruit drink with the granulated ice, and we cannot resist buying another one of these fresh fruity ice-drinks. They are sssooooooo delicious!

I have the combination orange and kiwi again, nice and creamy, no extra sugar added. It does take a bit of time for the young lady to fabricate them, but it is definitely worth waiting for. We sit down in the shade on the boulevard of the Plage du Mole where we indulge in our ice drinks. After having finished the drinks, we head back to the apartment.

Having arrived at the apartment, the boys change into there swimsuits and go to the pool for a swim with the new friends that they made over the past few days. I myself on the other hand feel the need to write another chapter of my vacation journal.

It is late in the evening that the whole family sits together for a midnight drink and snack. It is then that I decide that tomorrow I will visit the castle of Carcasonne ones more. Having joined me on my trip to the Pont du Gare my daughter also wants to join me on this trip. So, tomorrow the both of us will set out for another road trip.

and welcome!
