Arriving.

When arrive at Verona Villafranca Airport, we take the shuttle bus to Porta Nuova, Verona's main train station. Since this was our first time in Verona we step up to the information desk located near the entrance and ask for info about busses and trains.

We then buy a train ticket from Porta Nuova to Port Vescovo, Verona's secondary train station located on the east side of town. From here it is merely a five-minute walk to the apartment. The apartment complex is located along the Corso Venezia a.k.a. Strada Regionale 11, a provincial road that connects to the nearby Autostrada or freeway.

The welcome.

When we arrive, we are welcomed, registered and given directions to local shops, interesting sites and busses to the centre of town. Because the apartment is not yet ready, we leave in search for a restaurant for some coffee. When returned the room is made available to us, B section, room 503. We take the elevator to the fifth floor where we unpack our luggage.

The sunset

The apartment.

It is a spacious apartment equipped with a kitchen unit, with a microwave and a large bathroom. The room is maintained every day and the towels changed every two days. Being on the fifth floor in a sixth floor building the balcony on the sixth floor provide a nice bit of shade as of about twelve o'clock. This proves to be very nice indeed! Being on the fifth floor also provided a nice view across town. During the evenings you can enjoy the cool night air on the balcony overlooking the rooftops watching the lights turn on.

The ground floor.

On the ground floor you will find the lobby with the front desk and some friendly helpful people. Printing of your boarding passes? No problem! There is an indoor sitting area with some tables, and there is also a large community television room with an equally large screen. Right next to the entrance of the TV room is a cupboard with some reading materials in various European languages.

The building.

The whole building breaths loving care and is well maintained. It has a large parking in front and an equally large parking behind a fence with camera surveillance. Located on the ground floor on the outside is a large shaded area with seats and tables. In spite of being located nearby a connecting road, you hardly notice the traffic.

and welcome!
